in my mailbox

(in my mailbox is hosted by the Story Siren)

i have a problem. i wasn't planning to buy anymore books for a while, and guess what i did this week. yep, you guessed it, buy more books! although, in my defense, was having a great sale so what else could i do?

don't answer that....

anyway, here's what i've got in my mailbox so far, and i should have the rest by next weekend!

Journey of Hope: Two Novels by Lurlene McDaniel, The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause, Seventeenth Summer by Maureen Daly, and Obernewtyn and The Farseekers by Isobelle Carmody.

I hope these are good! they are all the result of impulsive book shopping...

now that you've seen my new books, what's in YOUR mailbox?

  1. Oooh...Lurlene McDaniel. Takes me back to high school and middle school.
    Alison Can Read

  2. Isobelle...are interesting books...I don´t know if they will be in Spain...

  3. Alison--i'll take that as a good sign..?

    Mandarina--you have me

  4. Silver Kiss and Seventeeth Summer were both extremely sad. Didn't love them.

  5. I saw Obernewtyn in the bookstore, and it looks great. I might even get it.. :) Enjoy the books you got there. The covers are great.

  6. Great mailbox! I'm now following. :) My IMM Birthday Edition is here.

    From the Shadows

  7. Well, they look good LOL! And if there was a great sale then there is nothing you could have done about that....never pass up a great book sale! Happy reading!

  8. Great mailbox this week! It's been a long time since I've read a Lurlene McDaniel book. The others look just as good! I hope you enjoy them all! Happy reading. :)

  9. I've heard of Obernewtyn before.

Great haul this week! Happy reading!

(so a super boring comment for me but mehh...sleep deprived...NEED SUGAR!)

  10. I feel you. I have put myself on a book diet, but I still 'cheat' and buy books! What is wrong with me?

The Sliver Kiss sounds good. I hope you enjoy!

  11. Vicky--oh well, i guess i'll see!

Nina--i have to confess, i did buy these largely based on the, i hope they're good!

    E.J. Stevens--thanks! i'll definitely check out your mailbox, too : )

Kris--thanks! yeah, i guess exceptions can be made for book sales...

Corrine--i haven't read any of her books before, but it sounded good. i'm looking forward to it. thanks!

Amelia--lol, i've never heard about it before, and i'm kinda nervous it'll be strange...and that wasn't a boring comment!

Missie--i no longer trust my self-discipline when it comes to books! i'm a book buying-aholic...
    and thanks!

  12. i swear you have the nicest inbox ever!

  13. thank you : ) I'm looking forward to my mailbox in a couple weeks when Mockingjay is out, though...I think that'll be one of the best of the year!

  14. I hope you enjoy The Silver Kiss! :) I've been meaning to read it for a long time, but then read another negative review on Amazon that puts me off. Note to self - stay away from Amazon reviews. Hope you enjoy the rest of your week, Bella xx

  15. mmmm....this makes me want to buy books. But if I buy books, I read them, and it's harder to write while reading. Still, I'm so interested in Obernewtyn and Farseekers from those covers...tell me if they're good!!!!

  16. Those are nice covers. I'd check them out! I have Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins on the way.

  17. Bella--yeah, i always check the Amazon reviews before i buy something...but then when i look for the reviews on books i already have and love, they often have a lot of negative ones! it's so confusing

Molly--you have more self-control than me! keep it up!! i'll admit, the covers are what got me, too...i'll let you know if they're good : )

Theresa--ooh, enjoy Mockingjay! i can't wait to read it!!
